I brought my Silhouette BA XR6 MkII in Oct 2005, for and joined the forums here not long after that. There begins my downfall...
Reading about what others had done to their cars inspired me to start making a few minor mods to mine. First there was the exhaust and headers, then a lower typhoon intake and K&N filter, then a Flash tuner (I was running a 15.2 1/4 back then) then a custom tune, (got a 14.9 1/4) I then added a metal cat which inspired the current trend, and a with a re-tune ran a 14.73.
Next was 4.11 diff gears and I ran a 14.577 @ 95.67mph with 176.6rwkw.
I installed a high stall converter, I ran a 14.221@95.81mph with a 1.971 60ft.
I ripped some seats out and ran it on slicks and front runners and got a new PB of 13.87@98.56mph with a 1.933 60ft.
Chucked an underdrive on and ran a 13.75@101.985mph with a 1.88 60ft.
I love my car and I love racing it.
I decided that it was time to dress her up a bit by get some new rims, I have 19" Starcorp Eclipse and recently upgraded the ICC with a colour screen.
In the new year I will be looking at some more performance mods.
